Food for Living’s mission is to create ultimate wellness while benefiting the environment and reducing animal suffering by emphasizing delicious, healthy plant-based foods.*
FOOD –
Any substance that people or animals eat to maintain life.
LIVING –
Being alive
When I began working with clients to improve their diets, one of the suggestions I would often make would be to reduce their consumption of animal products - as most Americans consume an excessive amount. Once I would make this suggestion, the usual response would be, "So, what do I eat instead?" I found that most people don’t really have any idea of what they can eat that doesn’t include meat, dairy, or eggs. And, yes, you could probably survive on a diet of lettuce and spaghetti, but would you really want to?
So, I decided that my focus would be on sharing with others how they could improve their health while discovering all the delicious plant foods available. I’m referring to foods that will satisfy you, delight your taste buds, inspire you in the kitchen and improve your health.
Here are just a few benefits of eating a mostly plant-based diet:
I can help you:
-
Make healthier food choices
-
Increase your energy
-
Control cravings and binges
-
Reduce sugar in your diet
-
Alleviate chronic conditions
-
Achieve your ideal weight
-
Sleep better
-
Choose and prepare healthy food
Sometimes, when I work with clients, issues come up that have nothing to do with food but have everything to do with health. These are things such as relationships, career, exercise and spirituality. Eating a healthy diet can only go so far if these other areas are out of balance. If necessary, I work with you to balance these other areas of your life as well.
*Most Americans can benefit from increasing plant foods and reducing animal products in their diets. Sharing what I know about the health benefits of consuming plant-based foods is only part of what I do.
Please know that I respect everyone’s desire to eat the foods they choose and I simply show you how to incorporate more plant foods into your diet.
