This 3-month program combines nutrition and movement classes, and is designed to help you get the weight off and keep it off for good. I run this program with my colleague Lauren Kelly-Washington, a well-known movement instructor in the Annapolis area who was recently featured in What's Up, Annapolis as one of the top people to keep an eye on in 2009!

Lauren and I do not ask participants to follow a diet. We teach a lifestyle approach to healthy eating, living, exercise and weight loss. This program was first launched in January 2009 and has been so successful that we will be expanding the program and offering more sessions in the future. Jumpstart Wellness Program

This is a 4-month program, designed for the client who has a lot of motivation and wants to accomplish their health goals right away. We will meet for a total of 10 session. 5 back-to-back weekly sessions (scheduled in the first one and one-half months) followed by 5 bi-weekly sessions (spread out over the next two and one-half months).

In addition to the 10 in-person (or phone) sessions, clients receive giveaways (which can include cookbooks, educational DVDs, new foods, personal care items and other materials to help keep on track with specific goals), recipes, handouts, sessions notes, cooking tips, a subscription to "Ellen's Health Bites", email support throughout the entire four months, and free attendance at any workshops given by Ellen.

Wellness Breakthrough Program - 6 months

Do you appreciate a slower approach to achieving your health goals?

Do you want to receive support for a longer time-period?

If so, the Breakthrough Wellness Program may be just what you are looking for!

This program consists of 12 bi-weekly sessions (spread out over 6 months). Each session builds on the next and you will experience both minor and major breakthroughs as you go through the 6-month process of addressing and correcting your health concerns.

In addition to the 12 in-person (or phone) sessions you will receive giveaways (which can include cookbooks, educational DVDs, new foods, personal care items or other materials to help keep on track with specific goals), recipes, handouts, sessions notes, cooking tips, a subscription to "Ellen's Health Bites", email support throughout the entire six months, and free attendance at any workshops given by Ellen.

This program takes a gentler and slower approach to achieving your health goals, but is just as effective as the Jumpstart Wellness Program.

Private Health Food Store Tour

Do you find yourself overwhelmed when shopping?

Do you wish you could walk into a store and know right away which foods would best serve your health and bring about better well being on a daily basis?

This program is one of my most popular options. Join me for two hours as I take you on a highly informative and enlightening tour of the nearest health food store to you. I'll point out what to buy, what not to buy, how to read labels for optimal health, and give you many useful tips that you can apply wherever you shop.

In addition to the two-hour tour, you will receive 3 pocket shopping guides that will be yours to take with you each time you shop. These will include:

1. How to stay away from the dirtiest dozen fruits and vegetable and choose economically when purchasing organic produce.

2. How to choose healthy seafood.

3. How to identify which foods in the store are genetically engineered, and why you want to stay away from these foods.

Private Pantry Cleanout

Do you wish you could have a healthy pantry, once and for all?

Sometimes the easiest way to make healthy changes and stick with them is very simple. Just have the right foods in your refrigerator and pantry! I will come to your house, go through your refrigerator and pantry, identify which foods you'll want to eliminate and tell you why, and replace a couple of your favorite foods with healthier versions. I'll also leave you with an information packet I've created that you can refer to once I'm gone in case you have questions about a food you are not sure if you should bring into your pantry.
