to enjoy the fresh flavors and health benefits of in-season herbs and fruits at cocktail hour, here are a couple of recipes for you:
Blueberry Basil Cocktail:
Muddle 15 fresh blueberries, 10 fresh basil leaves and a touch of local
honey together. Add ice, an ounce and a half of white rum, the juice from half of one lime, and sparkling water. Mix and serve. Also nice without rum.
Strawberry Basil Cocktail:
Muddle 10 leaves fresh basil with 1 Tablespoon local honey and the juice of one lime, add 1/4 cup pureed fresh strawberries, 1 ounce tequila and ice. Mix and serve.
