I'm a poet as well as a holistic health counselor, and have won a number of awards and grants for my work. I live in an old house with my husband Bill Taylor, who restores wooden boats, in rural Stonington, Connecticut. Between us we have five grown children and four very entertaining cats and dogs.
I hold two master's degrees, an MA in psychology from Wesleyan University, and an MFA in literature and poetry from Bennington College. I was trained in the Universal method of reflexology and will soon be receiving state (CT) certification as a reflexologist. I received my training to practice holistic health counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories. I will be certified as a holistic health counselor by Integrative Nutrition, as well as Columbia University Teacher's College, in June.
