About Laura...
As a health counselor and coach, Laura provides structure; accountability and support to help clients of all ages and life stages make and sustain changes that result in life wellness. Her greatest joy is to inspire people to reclaim and revitalize their health through nutrition education – with an emphasis on finding a more nutritional and delicious way of life.
She received her health counseling certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Teachers College at Columbia University and holds a BS in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. In 2009 she was trained through Wellcoaches and the American College of Sports Medicine as a health and wellness coach. She has directed a college wellness center, worked in health
promotion with an insurance company, and trained over 150 NH businesses to implement Smart Steps -
a 10,000 steps a day exercise program that she created to improve
worksite wellness.
In her coaching practice, she facilities groups to move forward toward the healthy lifestyle they desire. Laura is involved in several mothers groups in Southern New Hampshire, and enjoys staying active with her husband and two children.
In 2008, Laura made a personal goal to compete in her first
Sprint Triathlon. Along with this came a healthier family, as they all
trained for the event. Now, they plan all of their family
gatherings around exercise events - everyone from 5 to 65 is in
training. This experience has only enhanced her level of commitment to
helping others find their optimal wellness.
