Training
I received my training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. I am certified by the AADP.

Special Interest
I have experience with nutritional and biomedical protocols for children with special needs, focusing on ADHD, Asperger and Autism. My emphasis is in working with parents to explore the benefits of nutritional and biomedical approaches, and to connect them with information, groups, and physicians that support a healing model. I empower parents to implement an organized and custom-designed approach for their child while keeping in mind that it must be balanced with their own personal needs. My goal is to support parents as they work through the confusing and challenging process of healing their child and family.
I prefer an integrated approach, and have direct experience with protocols defined by DAN! (with Dr. Ken Bock), Dr. Amy Yasko, and Houston Homeopathy. I help parents understand these approaches and consider what might be useful for their child. While they may differ in methodology, the common emphasis among these protocols is in healing core imbalances in the body that create dysregulation in the gastrointestinal tract, immune system, neurotransmitters and methylation cycle resulting in impaired detoxification and neurological consequences. As these crucial challenges are addressed, the goal is to restore balance from the inside out.
