As founder of Nourish and Flourish, a private health coaching business, I am on a mission to help women reclaim their health and restore their inner knowing. By discovering the foods and behaviors that energize us and letting go of the self destructive habits that are toxic to our health, we are set free to live abundantly, see clearly, breathe deeply and gain the confidence that comes from knowing how. My mission is to teach, empower, and illuminate the way for those I know and those who are yet to be born... one woman at a time.
What is a Health Coach?
I am a nutrition expert, wellness authority and a supportive coach. Using a holistic approach (focusing on the whole you), I offer a wellness program based on education and prevention. My work as a Holistic Health Coach makes a quantum leap from the fad dietary trends many women have been exposed to and for many, abused by over the years.
Who does a Health Coach work with?
Health Coaches work with people to achieve their health goals in areas such as weight management, food cravings, sleep, energy and digestion.
The clients I work with tend to come to me frustrated having lost the connection between what they eat and how they feel. The program I offer is designed to meet the needs of women living in today's modern and hurried culture. It is best suited for those who are motivated to make a change and excited to invest in their health! While the steps I outline are simple, it doesn't mean they are easy. In fact, the people who benefit most from this program have a willingness to take a colossal leap of faith and break free from the herd of diet junkies.
What do health coaching sessions look like?
Through one-on-one confidential sessions held in a comfortable setting, I educate you about the power of your foods choices. I help you make the connection between the food you consume and your overall health, down to the cellular level. After all, the food we digest becomes our cells, blood, tissues, organs and organ systems... and even our mood, thoughts, feelings, and behavior... There is no denying it, "You are what you eat!" However, as a Health Coach, I know we are also what we do (and don't do!)!
This is why I also explore with you other areas of your life that when balanced, create a sense of wholeness. Because when your relationships are healthy, you have an exercise routine you love and is appropriate for your body, your career is in alignment with who you are, and you are practicing routine self care, eating well is the easy part. Yes, I work with my clients to reduce refined and processed foods creating room for more fresh produce and whole grains. Eating wholesome food is vital to our health, but we also need to feed ourselves with a sense of purpose, focus, self-love, and passion for our lives.
At the end of each session, we will set goals together and I will make recommendations for you to follow for next time. Between sessions, you will feel empowered to make choices that will positively affect your health, creating a ripple effect that will also transform the health of those around you. By the end of the program, you will notice a new, healthy appetite you can trust in a way that will allow you to flourish!
Why Women?
Every day, we are bombarded by choices that influence our health. As if wheat or multi grain, green tea or fair trade coffee, vegetarian or grass fed beef, raw honey or sugar-free, skim or soy aren't mind boggling enough, these questions don't come close to our confusion, as women, to know when to stop and when to go. Yet, knowing when to pause and when to move is vital in creating optimal health and balance in our everyday lives. Most women, however, fall into one extreme category or the other: paralyzed or in constant motion. Neither come up for air to breathe.
I work with women because I believe its time to stop holding our breath and start feeling beautiful! A woman's beauty is found in the natural glow she radiates when she looks in the mirror and sees herself healthy, whole and deeply nourished.
