I am very passionate about living an energized and healthy life. I had always thought eating "lowfat" foods would help me to lose weight. After years of eating lowfat, processed foods (and not losing weight) I decided to focus on the rest of my health and not just my weight. I was often tired, had chronic constipation and other significant digestive issues. After reading many books and speaking with others, I began experimenting with my diet to see what worked for me. I began by adding more whole grains, sweet vegetables, leafy greens, and reducing my animal protein. I cut way back on sugar and white flour. I listened to my body and not the latest fad diet. Soon, my constipation was gone, I felt great, and I had a ton of energy. I now eat mainly whole foods and I feel fabulous! I have a healthy glow from my great foods and good living!! I want to share this feeling and help others on their own journey to wellness.

I received my training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, and raw foods.
