It has been 30 Yrs that I have been studying,  pondering and thinking about nutrition and the way of life that would afford one health and happiness. I remember my first readings of Adelle Davis and 'Diet for a small Planet".  Even way back then I used to experiment with different diets. As part of my studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine I learned a lot about the qualities of different foods. I opted for the British version of lacto/ovarian vegetarian. We ate eggs, cheese and beans and complex carbs. And with minor variations I lived like that for 20Yrs. As a vegetarian for 35 years - until I experienced cravings for fish and poultry. All along I applied my knowledge of Traditional Chinese Dietetics.

Many other studies and experiments - from Macrobiotics to eating only grapes for 28days followed and I deeply understood how difficult it can be for a person to even discover which foods might actually be good and right for them. How bewildering an array of choices - how confusing a jungle of information and truths. I am happy to support and help a person find their way of life; their way of nourishing their body for maximum strength and well being.

I received my training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. My certification is pending and will be completed in June.
